Industrial Research Institute Journal Launches New Design
A Fresh Look for Research-Technology Management
Arlington, treatment VA, January 6, 2012 – Research-Technology Management (RTM), the official journal of the Industrial Research Institute (IRI), unveils a new design and layout for the year 2012 and beyond. As a demonstration of the commitment to innovation offered by the IRI, RTM is renewing its look and reworking the approach taken by the journal to providing high quality, practitioner-focused content that its readers have come to rely on over the years.
“We sought out a way to modernize our approach to providing professional content while leaving in place, and streamlining, those aspects which are the mainstay of our journal,” remarked Jim Euchner, Chief Editor of RTM. “Minor changes have been made to the names of several sections. The content remains what our readers expect, but packaged in a more accessible way. Other exciting changes you will have to see for yourself.”
The new design launches with the January-February 2012 issue. Among the changes is a revival of the original and widely popular “Managers at Work” column where R&D practitioners offer personal insights into a realm of technology and innovation management. The personal interviews with R&D leaders that previously filled this space have been kept, but have their own column named “Innovation C-Scape.” A section has also been added for updating readers about the findings and progress of the IRI’s innovative Research-on-Research working groups
“The time and effort our Board of Editors and staff have put into renewing and invigorating RTM are significant to the quality and feel of the journal,” stated Ed Bernstein, IRI president. “We think you’ll continue to enjoy the quality of content this journal offers and, with the redesign, believe that you’ll find it easier to track our work and get more involved with what we’re doing!”
